A town that grows with you
More housing makes room for new villagers. Better workplaces improve their work, while stronger defenses protect what your members build.
Tier 1 · A shared beginning
Settlement
A few wooden homes, basic workplaces, small crop plots, and sheep and cattle pens. A cheap wooden fence marks your territory but offers little protection.
Tier 2 · Room to grow
Village
More houses welcome more villagers. Improved timber buildings, larger farms, dedicated workshops, and a wagon depot establish a working community. Wooden defenses begin to offer protection.
Tier 3 · A thriving community
Town
Stone foundations, better roofs, organized storage, and expanded workshops support stronger town benefits. A reinforced palisade, watchtowers, and a guarded entrance protect the growing settlement.
Tier 4 · Strength in stone
Fortified Town
Strong stone walls, defensive towers, and a fortified gatehouse surround upgraded homes and workplaces. Larger warehouses and a developed wagon depot support production and trade.
Tier 5 · A home worth defending
Castle Town
A central castle rises above a developed town, protected by substantial stone walls and towers. Farms, livestock, workshops, and housing remain essential to the community.
Turn contributions into progress
Members donate harvested and processed materials such as wood, pelts, stone, and ingots. These contributions build houses, workplaces, storage, and defenses, and improve the quality of existing buildings.
Town-produced goods travel to the Arcanum. Returning wagons bring specialized upgrade supplies your town cannot gather or make. These supplies help unlock further development, including stronger walls and eventually a castle.
Town benefits improve through two connected sources: the relevant stats of the player holding a role and the upgrade level of that role’s building. Material specialists make donated resources go further.
Give every member a purpose
Players hold town roles that improve the community. Your relevant stats strengthen your role’s benefit, and upgrading its building improves that benefit further.

Every shipment matters
Trade with the Arcanum
Guarded wagons take town-produced supplies to the Arcanum and return with the specialized supplies needed for town upgrades.
Protect your cargo
If a wagon is raided, some supplies are lost. Returning cargo is especially valuable because the town cannot produce those upgrade supplies itself. Guards and player escorts help protect the journey.
Pay for an opportunity
Players can pay an outlaw to learn when another town’s wagon is coming. That information creates a chance to raid its shipment, but guards and escorts may stand in the way.
